Have you ever realized how often men speak and don't really comprehend the words coming out of their mouths? And then, they are surprised or angry at you when you are expecting them to know what they said and they have no recollection of it? Example:
Girl: Are you still going to help with VBS next week?
Boy: What VBS? Am I supposed to help?
Girl: Yesterday you said you would. You said, "I could definitely do that"
Boy: I never said that. Do I need to? What would I do?
Girl: Last week, when you originally agreed to help (yesterday was just a reminder check-in) you said you'd guide a group of kids.
Boy: Really? I don't remember that.
AAAAHHHHHHHH
Phone call:
Girl: Hi. Still want to hang out tonight?
Boy: Didn't know we were going to.
Girl: YEsterday you asked if I wanted to watch a movie tonight.
Boy: Really? I don't remember that...........
and so on....
Or, the "I really don't hear anything you have said in the last week" conversation:
Girl: Do you want the extra ticket to the game tomorrow?
Boy: I don't know...I'll get back to you. Is it a leftover one?
Girl: Yes. I need to know soon if you want it or not.
Boy: I wish you had asked sooner. I have to figure this out.
Girl: I did ask sooner. I asked last week and I asked yesterday.
Boy: I didn't know that you had an extra ticket available then.
Girl: Why would I ask if there wasn't an extra ticket? I believe I said, "I have an extra ticket, do you want it?"
Boy: I don't remember that.
Seriously, either he has serious memory issues and needs neurological help, or I speak VERY PINK and he speaks VERY BLUE and somehow we both need to learn to speak Purple.

Dates
There's something really special about a date. Even when you see that person almost every day. It's not like you need to know they want to spend time with you. It's more like the special feeling where you know the person you care about cares enough about you to plan a special night without TV or carry out; to specifically ask you to set aside time for the two of you to be the two of you.
Obviously, I just came back from a really nice date....a great restaurant, walking around downtown, etc. It reminds me that I'm not really done with dating. I actually like dating. I like being taken out to dinner and having a door opened for me. I remember this time my dad took me and my sister on a date and told us to expect the boys we date to treat us the same way. Well, looks like I've finally found one who'll do that!
